Born in India and a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and choreographer, Jayshri's strength lies in her dedicated practice and layered knowledge of Bharatnatyam Dance, where the art form of dance in India and the ancient life science of Yoga have been intertwined for centuries. She departed her full time job as an engineer and became a certified trainer of Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and meditation techniques from The Yoga School of India. Jayshri believes that everyone can develop awareness and confidence through practising yoga and dance, and being creative. In her classes, she incorporates aspects of Ashtanga Yoga with proper breathing techniques.
Jayshri teaches Yoga Foundation, Vinyasa, Slow Flow and Yoga Wheel classes at The Yoga Place Melbourne.
