Our Story

Our studio is made up of truly amazing and spiritual people, all of whom have a story to tell in finding their path to yoga. Our studio caretakers are a medical doctor and Neuroscience researcher, and a devoted learner of Buddhist teachings. Together with our teachers, we have dedicated our lives to spreading the message of mindfulness and health to our students. We’ve been a certified Yoga Studio in Melbourne since 2013, sharing our beliefs that life should be lived with abundance, gratitude, and a dedication to being present in the moment. These feelings inform and guide our teachings, which are focused on helping our students better connect to themselves, their communities, and to the rest of the world. 

Our studio offers a peaceful space with high ceilings and natural light, and is located in the heart of Melbourne, right next to the Queen Victoria Market. We offer over 30 Vinyasa - Flow, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Yin, Restorative and Meditation classes every week, including classes and workshops specifically designed for beginners and advanced practitioners. 

Yoga is a form of moving meditation. Our vision at The Yoga Place is to provide all yogis with an authentic yoga community to develop their yoga practice and understanding of mindfulness for a healthier body and mind. Through consistent guided practice and a balanced way of life, we hope to nurture our Melbourne community wellbeing. We welcome you to join us and be a part of our yogi community.
